Old Dominion Electric Cooperative is a wholesale power supplier to 11 locally owned and controlled electric distribution cooperatives. This position is at the Marsh Run Generation Facility near Remington, Virginia.
The Instrument and Controls Technician position performs maintenance of all instrumentation and controls throughout the ODEC owned CT Generation facility. Additionally, the position will prepare I&C maintenance procedures, perform outage planning and manage onsite contractors performing field related tasks. The I&C Technician will also make recommendations to preserve and enhance the value of the Instrument and Controls systems.
High School education is required, with 4 years’ experience working with Instrument and Controls within the power industry. Must have a thorough understanding of power plant fundamentals, processes and operation, ability to read & interpret documents, P&ID’s & technical manuals, and be technically proficient in power plant operations and maintenance.
