Posting Summary: The Department of Pediatrics is currently seeking a Laboratory Research Technician 1. The incumbent supports ongoing research of the Principal Investigator. Duties include data entry and cleaning, data analysis, literature searching, learning digital slide analysis, participation in conducting scientific experiments and performing technical assays; analyzing and assessing experimental results. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining lab inventories.
Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and previous research experience. Clinical/ epidemiological research work is preferred. Experience gained as a student will be considered. A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science is preferred.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.

Knowledge of general laboratory procedures and equipment.
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); would be a plus if knows how to operate statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R and or GraphPad. Use of reference software such as EndNote.
